2010 ミラマー航空ショー
10月初旬,映画トップガンで有名なミラマー基地で行われた航空ショー。この時展示飛行したF/A-18 スーパーホーネットパイロットの母親からメールが来た。
Hi, just wanted to tell you how awesome your video is of the Miramar Air Show - Super Hornet. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to see the one entitled "in the cloud". My son was the pilot of that aircraft during that show weekend.. It was a thrill to see him then and then to see him up close (in the first sequence) moved me to tears. Each team only flies for a year and this was next to his last. He flew the last on the next weekend in SFO Fleet Week. What is especially sentimental is that he is now at the Naval War College for a year so won't be flying for a while. It is ever possible to get an actual video of this particular shoot? I would be glad to pay for it and it would mean so much to my family. Great job and keep up the great work.

この文面からして息子を想う母心は万国共通のようである。名字からしてドイツ系のアメリカ人か？今回は、自宅にサムソンのBlu-ray プレーヤーを持っているようだったので、BD-Rに焼いて送ることにした。確かにこの映像は今年の中で一番ではなかろうか。雨と霧上がり直後であったために心配したが。というのも滑走路すぐ横で撮影でき、迫力満点とベイパー出まくりで、機体全体を包む場面もあった。
すぐ横にいたオーストラリアから来たカメラマンも偉く興奮していた。

拝見しました！！
いつも素晴らしいですが・・・今回は格別です！！
これは35mm換算の焦点距離で何mmくらいで撮ってらっしゃるのでしょう？
差し支えなければ教えてくださいませm(__)m

35mm換算の焦点距離で200mmぐらいと思います。たぶんこれほどのベイパーを見るのはこれが最初で最後でしょう。

ホーネットのデモはすごい迫力ですね。
ベイパーコーンにはビックリです。
昨晩は4本程、作品を見させて頂きました。
いや～、非常に楽しかったです。
